Ulla Von Brandenburg is a German artist living and working in Paris. Her practice displays a deep engagement with the traditions of craft, music, color theory and construction of narratives.

With a unique vocabulary that draws on themes and images sourced from literature, theatre and architecture, her installations explore how stories, rituals and symbols of the past have constituted different levels of our collective consciousness.

INNEN IST NICHT AUSSEN, VIENNA, 2013.

In her first solo exhibition in Austria, ''Inside Is Not Outside'', Ulla von Brandenburg explores the relationship between audience and actors, installation and staging, spatiality and performance.

Staged settings, objects and curtains modulate the space, creating a sense of theatricality that lies between reality and illusion. Combined with image and movement, these elements suggest a symbolic staging of ritualized encounters that are central to her work.

Blending Arts, Architecture and Theatre in her works, Von Bradenburg inspires us with her unique way of turning narrative into form.
